Dr Islam Badr has completed MBBS from Cairo University School of Medicine. After completing his Obstetrics and Gynaecology residency training, he has specialized in Foetal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynaecology Ultrasound. He has a vast experience in diagnosis and management of Foetal congenital malformations. He gained his experience in Cairo University Foetal Medicine Unit which is a tertiary Foetal Medicine Center to which most of the complex cases is referred on the national level. He has achieved the Foetal Medicine Foundation Diploma (UK), the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical sonography in Obstetrics and Gynaecology Ultrasound and Foetal Echocardiography. He has received certification as a Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International, a Fellowship of Ian Donald School of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology Ultrasound and advanced professional Diploma of Materno-Foetal Ultrasound from Cairo University.  
 
Dr Islam has been a member of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. He has vast experience as a Consultant in Foetal Medicine from Cairo, Egypt.Dr Islam has several publications & papers to his credit in several International and national journals including many case reports during his past years of vast experience in Foetal Medicine.
 
His areas of expertise include first trimester scans, second trimester scans, Foetal growth scans, Foetal Doppler studies, Foetal Echocardiography, Foetal Neuro Sonography, 3D/4D Foetal Ultrasound, Foetal Arrythmias, Early Pregnancy Scans, Embryology, Foetal Congenital Malformations and Genetic Syndromes, Gynaecological Ultrasound and Transperineall Ultrasound in addition to Foetal Interventional procedures such as Amniocentesis and Amnioreduction.
