NMC Royal Hospital, Sharjah hosted the International Nurses Day event on 12th May 2019 in Radisson Blu Hotel, Sharjah. International Nurses Day celebrates the contribution that nurses make to societies around the world. Organized annually in NMC Royal Hospital, Sharjah this day is a memory that nurses cherish every year.
Presided by Chief nursing officer Ms. Shazia Amin The night highlighted the theme of the year for Nurses: “A voice to lead”, particularly focused on the need for nurses to become more active and vocal in policy development and implementation. The resources and evidence deal with critical issues of the time and highlight the many ways in which nurses are making an impact.
Alongside the encouragement of a fully deserved congratulations owed to nurses, the event progressed into an exciting night of festivity with several categories of appreciation and awards to celebrate success by Chief executive Officer Mr. Santhosh Skaria. A special appreciation went out to the Nurse leaders who brought the theme “A voice to lead” to life this year by leading several successfully implemented projects through the programme “Leadership in Quality”.
The evening was filled with talented artists who gave brilliant Performances. The night ended with a grand raffle draw where the audience stood a chance to win exciting gifts. Truly a night to remember as the Nurses recalled their Success as a Team!
