Verified Patient 's testimonial

  • I was initially diagnosed and confined in Zulekha Hospital, Dubai on 9th July 2020 due to abdominal and back pain caused by gall bladder stones. My gall bladder was immediately removed, unfortunately the same pain remained. I was advised by my surgeon that there could have been fragments of stones left in my bile duct. As they do not have the facility for EUS and ERCP procedures, they referred me to a specialist in Al Zahra Hospital, Sharjah by the name of Dr. Piyush Somani.

Immediately, they contacted Dr. Piyush Somani to start interacting with me and without further delay, Dr. Piyush advised me to be confined immediately in Al Zahra Hospital to start investigation. As soon as Dr. Piyush saw my agonizing situation, he already had a premonition that it was not a gallstone issue that is causing the pain but something else. However, he had to proceed with EUS to confirm. Hence, the EUS was immediately performed and he was proven correct. There were no fragments of gallstones found in the bile duct. He immediately collaborated with two other specialists, Dr. Khalid, and Dr. Kausar. The three of them, in a short period of time, pinpointed the problem of vacuities which is classified as a rare case.

Medications were immediately administered to me by the nursing staff of Al Zahra Hospital, who took care of me in a very professional and caring manner. At this juncture, I would like to commend Dr. Piyush, Dr. Khalid, Dr. Kausar, Dr. Lily, Dr. Hena, Dr. Mohammad, all the nursing staff, and the utility staff for their commitment to ensure my fast recovery. They have not only showed their professionalism but have also shown their utmost care for me as their patient. With all of these, I am truly grateful. Thank you.
