Dr Tamer graduated and thereafter did his master in surgery (2006) & PHD in bariatric surgery followed by MD (2015) from Ain Shams University, Egypt. Apart from basic general surgical procedures, he has had vast experience & exposure to spectrum of obesity surgeries.
Dr Tamer is a member of international federation of surgery of obesity (IFSO) as well as the emirate society of bariatric surgeon and distinguished life member of World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons. He has successfully completed and updated his fellowship in Minimal Access Surgeries & Robotic Surgeries, duly awarded as Fellow of International College of Robotic Surgeons & MAS by IAO.
Dr Tamer completed his fellowship in bariatric surgery in Taiwan under supervision of Prof Lee who is the inventor of Minigastric bypass surgery.
Dr Tamer is also a member of The Royal College of Surgeons MRCS (Ireland) since 2010. He has attended and taken active participation in various international surgical and laparoscopic conferences, seminars & workshops along with presentation of many papers & articles which prove his academic excellence.
Dr Tamer is currently enrolled in for a Clinical Masters in Surgical Endoscopy from the esteemed Faculty of Medicine Strasbourg-France
He is well versed with all bariatric procedures, his special area of interest includes Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, Minigastric bypass and revisional bariatric surgeries, laparascopic Nissen fundoplication for hiatus hernia and laparoscopic emergencies.
