Dr. Sherief Elsayed is a dedicated Consultant Spinal Surgeon, exclusively treating conditions that affect the Spine. His education commenced at one of England’s finest boarding schools in the beautiful city of Canterbury, Kent. He subsequently obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery from Cardiff University in the year 2000. Thereafter he attained his Membership and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery whilst undertaking a dedicated residency program. 

Dr. Sherief Elsayed undertook a Complex Spine Fellowship at the world-renowned Centre for Spinal Studies and Surgery in Nottingham, UK, under the leadership of some of the leading lights in Spinal Surgery. He subsequently practised as a Consultant Spinal Surgeon in the United Kingdom, both in the National Health Service and in the private sector. He continues to practice at the prestigious Princess Grace Hospital in London.

Dr. Sherief Elsayed is one of a very limited number of surgeons world-wide trained in the use of Robot-assisted Spine Surgery.

Dr. Sherief Elsayed is extensively published in the medical literature (research cited over 400 times to date) and he has several ongoing research projects. He has personally taught over 10,000 medical students, junior doctors and allied health professionals. In addition, Dr. Sherief Elsayed is an established medico-legal expert for Her Majesty’s Courts in the United Kingdom.

He is the recipient of multiple awards including the British Association of Spinal Surgeons/British Scoliosis Society Presidents' Travelling Fellowship, awards for research, and an award for the development of a new scoring system for the management of spinal infections.

Dr. Sherief Elsayed has also served on the British Association of Spine Surgeons’ (BASS) Executive Committee and recently hosted the BASS 2019 Conference. For his various efforts Dr Sherief Elsayed has been made an Ambassador for both the cities of Nottingham and Brighton in the United Kingdom.
